Callai Copi is a conceptual Korean-American coffee shop and lifestyle brand that explores themes of cultural identity, nostalgia, and self-care through the lens of everyday rituals. The project centers around the philosophy that "every day is a treat" and encourages treating one's inner child every day.

Design Concept

The brand identity combines minimal typography with dried floral motifs and bilingual Korean-English text, creating a visual language that feels both contemporary and rooted in heritage. The aesthetic draws inspiration from childhood memories, translating personal touchstones into a cohesive brand experience.

Why “Callai Copi”

The name combines my daughter’s name “Calliope” and the Korean pronunciation of “coffee” as “kuh-pee”. I wanted to evoke intimacy and a personal touch in this coffee shop branding and also add in heritage and identity. A lot of my personal preference (since I was the client!) went into this project.
